Bluehost and Hostgator Offer Many Options
I believe that every online marketer needs their own blog. Your blog is your home, your headquarters, your hangout if you will. In order to get your WordPress blog viewable to the public, you need hosting. In this article, I want to give you two good options for hosting providers.
While I have been with Hostgator for over 10 years, I have recently begun using Bluehost Hosting too. I really like Bluehost for many reasons, not the least of which is their pricing. They often run specials where you can use a bluehost coupon and get monthly hosting for less than five bucks.
Bluehost advertises that they have “the best web hosting’ and I can’t really disagree with that notion. Right now for example, they have a hosting plan that would work for most bloggers like you and I, for as little as $3.49 per month. You get unlimited domain hosting, unlimited hosting space, and unlimited file transfer with this package.
With that program, you also get unlimited email accounts, a free domain name, as well as free site builder complete with templates. The freebies keep coming with free instant set-up too. If you are going to build a website, you should seriously consider Bluehost. If you will be using WordPress, you get optimized hosting and it’s all fast, simple, and secure.
Overall, Bluehost has everything you need to set up and run your blog. Having said that, my long time favorite, Hostgator does too. You really can’t go wrong with either one of these two options.
When I look at the many options that Hostgator hosting offers, it looks a lot like Blue host. They have the unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth. They offer the one click script installs, which is a nice feature.
They have an amazing 99.99% uptime guarantee. This is as good as it gets and is extremely important to any site owner. You don’t want your blog being down and unavailable to your guests. That is bad business.
Hostgator has over 4500 website templates to choose from if that is what you are looking for. They also have a 45 day money back guarantee, but I doubt that many people ever take advantage of it since their service is so good.
One added benefit that I can speak to for Hostgator is their outstanding support system. Over the last ten years I have had a few issues which required their support and they were always quick to reply and help me get the issue resolved. If you have a blog up for awhile, you will likely need your hosting provider to help you with something and it’s nice to know that Hostgator is always responsive.
If I were starting over again, I could literally flip a coin as to which host I would choose. They both have done a great job for me, albeit, my tenure with Hostgator has been a lot longer than Bluehost. If you’re trying to save money, go with Bluehost if you can get the less than five bucks monthly plan. If service and support is paramount for your needs then go with Hostgator.
There you have it, my two favorite hosting providers. You really can’t choose a bad one either way. Bluehost and Hostgator are the two best providers I have used. I won’t mention any names of other providers that were not as good as these two. The important thing is that you get your blog up as soon as possible. Let Bluehost and Hostgator host it and you will be on your way to having your headquarters all set up.
